1. Am I eligible to participate in the Money For Nothing (MFN) Program?
-
Yes, as long as you are a principal CardMember of MBF Cards (MBFC) with an MBFC line of credit and a principal CardMember of other valid credit/charge cards(s) issued by a licensed Bank(s) of Financial Institution(s) in Malaysia. If you have a MBFC card with AmBank line of credit, send your MFN application and if eligible you will be issued with an MBFC card with MBFC line of credit to participate in the program.
2. Would I incur any charges for participating in this program?
3. How long does it take to know the status of my application?
4. Will I get more CEPP if I transfer more than the required BT amount?
CEPP amount is approved at MBFC’s sole discretion and can vary from the applied amount depending on your credit standing.
5. What if I do not have enough outstanding balance from my other credit card to BT over to MBF?
-
In the event that the outstanding balance from one of your non-MBF related credit card falls short of the minimum BT amount required, you are allowed to compensate the difference with 2 other BT from your other cards. Basically under this program, you are permitted to transfer up to a maximum of 3 BT from your other credit cards to your MBF card to make up the minimum BT amount.
6. Can I change the length of my repayment period?
-
No. Amendments are NOT allowed on either the CEPP, BT or repayment period once the application is approved. The 0% interest is conditional to the CEPP and BT that you have signed up for. Hence, you will need to complete the full duration of the CEPP that you have selected.
7. Must I maintain the opted BT as outstanding in my MBF card and if so, for how long?
8. Together with the other charges on my current MBF card, what is the minimum amount that I will need to remit monthly after participating in this program?
-
Every month until the end of the agreed CEPP repayment period, you must settle in full the Minimum Monthly Repayment reflected in your Statement of Account, which is the CEPP monthly installment + 5% of the outstanding card balance (or RM50 whichever is higher) + any other charges due (as stipulated in the Cards Agreement) before the payment due date or the normal Card Finance Charges shall apply on remaining unpaid balances.
9. What if I make an early settlement ahead of the agreed repayment period?
-
An early settlement fee of RM300 is applicable when you opt to discontinue with this program and fully settle the CEPP and BT amount ahead of the agreed repayment period. This fee is also imposed for any termination of this program before the end of the agreed repayment period due to reasons such as card cancellation, payment defaults (or) breach of the program’s or Card Agreement terms.
