    MBF Cards recently launched the MBF Cards World MasterCard, a premium card for esteemed high net worth individuals. One of the first issuers in the country of the new World MasterCard, this high end premium card and considered one of the top range cards in the industry.

  2. Windfall of RM500,000 for one lucky Malaysian thanks to MBF Cards 2 November 2008

    Congratulations to our CardMember, Mr. Koon Woh, 47, who became half a million Ringgit richer by winning the Grand Prize in the MBF Cards 'Got 5, Get 500,000' Contest held on 1st November 2008 at Menara MBf, Kuala Lumpur.

    He beat 124 other short-listed finalists in a series of fun challenges designed to test skills and wit, bagging the Grand Prize of RM500,000. "I plan to share the prize with my family, as my three sisters and I are living under one roof," said Koon Woh, a father of four.

    We would also like to extend our congratulations to the other top four finalists, Phua Kai Lin, Wong Foong Meng, Low Ken Buon and Lee Kok Sum who won RM5,000 each.

    The following 45 finalists received RM1,500 each while the other 75 contestants walked away with RM1,000 each.

    The MBF Cards 'Got 5, Get RM500,000' Contest ran from April to September 2008.

  3. Gateway To A Dream Holiday 20 October 2008

    The MBF Cards 'Buy a TV, Get a Free Holiday Stay Overseas' Program made dream vacations locally and abroad possible for its CardMembers.

    In order to enjoy the 8-days, 7-nights overseas holiday stay for four people in 200 resort across 30 countries worth thousands of Ringgit for absolutely free, CardMembers were required to purchase either an MBF XD 42" Full HD LCD TV (priced at RM3, 599) or Samsung 40" Full HD LCD TV (priced at RM4,599).

    The two TVs were available for purchase via single payment options or at 0% Interest-free Easy Payment Plan (EPP) of either 12 or 24 months via the MBF Cards XtremeDeals Program.

    The unbeatable overseas holiday stay package was the result of a tie-up with UK-based TLC Marketing PLC, the world's market leader in travel and leisure-based promotions.

    The 'Buy a TV, Get a Free Holiday Stay' program also saw the introduction of MBF Cards' own house brand of Full HD LCD TV, the MBF XD 42" Full HD LCD TV. MBF XD was fitting of its name as the introduction was not a first for the home grown card issuer but also marked a first in the local credit card industry.

    The MBF XD 42" Full HD LCD TV was going for a very affordable RM3,599 while the Samsung 40" Full HD LCD TV was priced at RM4,599. The free 8-day, 7-night holiday stay for four people at a holiday destination valued over thousands of Ringgit was thrown in to make this deal totally unbeatable and perhaps, one the 'best deal' in the credit card industry.

    The 'Buy a TV, Get a Free Holiday Stay' program, ran from 31 October 2008 - 28 February 2009.

  4. First-of-its-kind Credit Card Payment Gateway 27 May 2008

    MBF Cards introduced the industry's first-of-its-kind payment service which allows CardMembers to settle their MBF Cards credit card bills through their bank account via direct debit with just a phone call. This is a result of joint collaboration between MBF Cards and T-Melmax Sdn Bhd.

    This latest service available is a new addition to the current MBF Cards' CALL'n PAY™ service, which already enables CardMembers to pay utility bills with a just a phone call anytime.

    MBF Cards launched it's 'Money for Nothing' Program that enabled CardMembers to obtain hassle-free cash when they do a simple balance transfer with MBF Cards.

    The first-of-its-kind balance transfer program to offer two times the cash in return, MBF Cards' 'Money for Nothing' was premised on smart spending and flexibility of choice. Those in need of extra money had the choice of transferring their balance from another credit card to an MBF credit card to obtain twice the amount of cash at 0% interest.

  6. MBF Cards 'Got 5' Get RM500 000 Contest 7 April 2008

    MBF Cards (M'sia) Sdn Bhd recently launched the 'Got 5' Get RM500,000 Contest where CardMembers who spend a minimum of RM50 will stand a chance to win more than 35,000 worth of cash prizes totaling approximately RM2.5 million.

    The Contest which runs from April 7 to September 28, provides CardMembers with multiple opportunities to win RM50 everyday over 25 weeks, whether transactions are made locally or abroad. This will then culminate with 125 CardMembers vying for the grand prize of RM500,000 cash in October this year. Three simple steps are all it takes for the CardMember to win. The first step is to charge a minimum of RM50 to any MBF Cards credit card. Then one needs to check if the approval code on the transaction slip ends with a '5' and if it does, the last step is to SMS the 'Got 5' transaction details to 39366 for verification.

    CardMembers will have numerous opportunities to win daily prizes. The key is to consistently register via SMS all their 'Got 5' transactions to increase the odds. For transactions made abroad, CardMembers have to call 03-2167 0555 to register.

    During the contest duration of 25 weeks, the first 205 successfully registered Got 5 entries everyday will receive RM50 credited back into their account. CardMembers are encouraged to register as soon as they get a '5' as time is of the essence and the registration of approval codes must be done within the same day of transaction to be eligible.

    Additionally, at the end of each week (Monday-Sunday), five CardMembers who have successfully registered the highest number of 'Got 5' transactions made within that week, will be selected for the Grand Prize draw. CardMembers who were unsuccessful in winning the daily cash prizes should still continue registering their 'Got 5' as they could still qualify as one of the Grand Prize finalist. At the end of the contest, all finalists will be invited for an event to vie for the Grand Prize of half a million Ringgit. The other contenders for the Grand Prize will not leave empty-handed, as each of them will receive at least RM1,000 cash.

    Potential CardMembers can also participate in this contest by becoming an MBF CardMember. If they get their MBF card anytime during the promotion period (April 7 to September 28), they can enter the contest and are eligible to win the daily cash prize and be in running for the Grand Prize of half-a-million Ringgit. So it is advisable for non-CardMembers to apply at the earliest.
